The book addresses the important knowledge that the designer possessed in terms of manufacturing and representation, the construction details, the furniture in the architectural space and also the presence of the human figure - which, in addition to providing the perception of the scale of the piece, represents the intention of the designer and often proposes a narrative beyond the product.
The work, organised by Fernando Mendes and Baba Vacaro, who also wrote the texts, features a sketchbook with reproductions of the original line of furniture and a photo essay by Fernando Laszlo, revealing Sergio Rodrigues' creative process from conception to final production of each piece. Texts by the critic Afonso Luz and designers Fernando Mendes and Claudia Moreira Salles complete the volume, composing a complete and revealing portrait of the work of the designer who redefined the concept of furniture in Brazil.
