Side Gallery presents an exploration of Mexican modernism through the work of Ricardo Legorreta and Antonio Attolini Lack, bringing together furniture and ceramics shaped by colour, light, materiality, and craftsmanship. Through furniture conceived as an integral part of architectural space and ceramic objects that extend the principles of integral architecture into everyday life, the presentation examines the relationship between architecture, interiors, and objects. Developed in direct collaboration with the architects’ families and archives, the exhibition reveals a modernism in which geometric forms, local materials, and spatial experience converge to shape a distinctive vision of domestic life.

Side Gallery presents a dialogue between contemporary Japanese and South Korean design, bringing together practices shaped by material experimentation, craftsmanship, and the reinterpretation of inherited techniques. Through ceramics, glass, metal, lacquer, paper, and organic materials, the presentation explores the relationship between tradition and innovation, revealing objects in which process, transformation, and material behavior become central to form.

Side Gallery presents a curated dialogue between historical Japanese modernism and contemporary creative practices, exploring the enduring tension between craftsmanship, material sensitivity, and industrial innovation. By juxtaposing iconic mid-century figures with emerging voices, the exhibition reflects on an aesthetic lineage rooted in tradition yet defined by its openness to formal experimentation.

Side Gallery presents a research-driven exhibition celebrating Japanese modern design from the mid-twentieth century, focusing on Tendo Mokko and the visionaries who shaped Japan’s modernist identity. Through historical and contemporary works, the show explores how craftsmanship, material innovation, and spiritual balance continue to define Japan’s design ethos—bridging tradition and modernity in the context of Design Miami Paris.

SIDE GALLERY is delighted to participate in Design Miami/Seoul 2025, an exhibition dedicated to Korean collectible design, taking place at the iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul from September 1 to 14, 2025.

For its participation, SIDE GALLERY presents a curated selection of works by four acclaimed Korean designers: Gyuhan Lee, Dong Hoon Sohn, Jinyeong Yeon, Hyeokjin Lee, Ryu Yeunhee
and Dahyeon Yoo. This presentation reflects the gallery’s commitment to research and the promotion of proposals that transcend mere functionality to become powerful manifestations of identity, culture, and aesthetic vision.
