Biography
Ricardo Fasanello (São Paulo, 1930 - 1993, Río de Janeiro, Brasil) and began proving his talent at a young age, designing and building a
sailboat at the age of 14, and at 18 was already building lofts of his own.
After meeting his future wife, Countess Olivia Tarnowska, Ricardo slowed down and moved to a bohemian neighbourhood in Rio. There
he spent his days between his exotic pets and his lifelong passion, designing and building racing cars. Functionality and the use of handcrafted tools in the execution of an industrial design are the hallmarks of Fasanello's furniture. His work blends unmistakable Brazilian aesthetics with detached sophistication. The truly creative work done by Atelier reflects the solutions that arise during the production of a piece. The artist shows an incomparable ability to harmonize contrasts while using his technical knowledge of materials to extract the best results from them. His spiral mind has conceived round-shaped armchairs that rotate to induce the art of conversation.
