Biography
Roberto Gabetti (1925–2000) was a renowned Italian architect and academic whose contributions significantly influenced 20th-century architecture and architectural theory. Born in Turin, Gabetti developed a profound interest in the built environment from a young age. He pursued his architectural studies at the Politecnico di Torino, where he later became a professor and a pivotal figure in the academic community.

Gabetti is best known for his collaboration with Aimaro Isola, forming the architectural firm Gabetti & Isola. The duo's work is characterized by a unique blend of modernism and respect for historical context, creating buildings that are both innovative and sensitive to their surroundings. One of their most notable projects is the Bottega d'Erasmo bookstore in Turin, which exemplifies their ability to integrate contemporary design with traditional urban fabric.
