Biography
Oscar Torlasco was noted for his luminaire designs between the 1950s and 1960s. In 1959 he won the Italian design award Compasso d’Oro, a controversial prize, for his street lighting entitled "Genova 4053". His work as a designer corresponds to the time of the "línea italiana", an outstanding period of industrial design. The optical lenses of his lamps are his hallmark. Torlasco designed for several prestigious Italian companies, such as Lumi and Stilkronen.
