MUSEU DEL DISSENY
OCT 19 2014 - DEC 06 2014
In almost everything we do we use objects. If we want to sit we use a chair, to do the washing a washing machine, to see we turn on a light, objects of multiple designs and functions have accompanied us through life and evolve as the world progresses.
How, then, do certain objects and not others become part of a Museum's collection? Each of the pieces on display are considered representative samples of design. The pieces were chosen for the material and technical compositions proposed by their authors, who were pioneering production leading the design object have a sociocultural and economic impact as well.
Product design is an important cultural heritage. To understand the future, we must understand the past. To comprehend how we lived is to recognise the objects we had by our side through the passage of time.
