This catalogue raisonné by Ignazia Favata is a documentation of around 200 design pieces by her long-time mentor Joe Colombo, from 1968 onwards. This volume is part of a series of different volumes on the master designers of the 20th century. Domitilla Dardi completes the book with an anthology.

As she illustrates in the book some of the projects of the visionary designer Joe Colombo, are classified as historical while others are still being produced after fifty years for companies such as Oluce, Kartell, Bieffe, Alessi, Flexform and Boffi. The publication focuses on the latter, works still in current production, such as, the "Tube Chair", the "Spider Lamp" and the Boby Trolley, which is currently part of the MoMOA collection in New York. Such pieces are considered icons of Italian design and have since become key in the international history of design.
