Design japonais : 1950-1995 is a large-format, richly illustrated catalogue accompanying the exhibition held at the Centre Georges Pompidou from February 14 to April 29, 1996. Featuring essays by Marie-Laure Jousset and others, with a foreword by Charlotte Perriand, the book examines the diversity and evolution of Japanese industrial design over a 45-year period. The exhibition was also presented at other institutions, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, offering an in-depth look at Japan’s innovative approach to design between 1950 and 1995.
