About
Yuki Nishiyama’s work merges delicate craftsmanship with contemporary minimalism, exploring the interplay between transparency, light, and form. In Harvest Forest Quince, the artist employs glass as a primary medium, accentuated with enamel painting, to create a sculptural object that balances precision with organic inspiration. The piece reflects Nishiyama’s interest in the subtle tensions between natural motifs and modern abstraction, drawing viewers into a quiet, contemplative dialogue with the object. Through careful attention to surface and volume, the work evokes a sense of fragility and luminosity, while the enamel detailing introduces a tactile and visual narrative reminiscent of the fleeting beauty of forested landscapes in autumn.
