Valinte Oy, a luminary in the world of Finnish lighting, emerged in 1942 under the visionary leadership of Into Lintero. The nomenclature 'Valinte' gracefully intertwines "valaisin" (Finnish for lamp) with the founder's surname, Lintero, encapsulating the essence of the brand. Specializing in the creation of exquisite lighting fixtures, Valinte Oy established itself as a paragon of craftsmanship and innovation. From its inception until the late 1960s, the company operated from Malmi in
Helsinki, crafting high-quality lighting primarily from metal, often complemented by the inclusion of acrylic or opaque glass elements.
Noteworthy among Valinte's creations are lamps marked with the distinctive 'V-e,' signifying the brand's commitment to excellence.

In a strategic move, Valinte Oy shifted its operations to a new, expanded factory located at Manttaalitie 1 in Vantaa, Veromiehee, in 1964. The company's avant-garde approach extended to its in-house shade sewing factory, responsible not only for crafting metal lamps but also for the creation of opulent crystal chandeliers.
As the industry landscape evolved, Valinte transitioned its focus in the 1980s, directing its expertise toward spotlights under the moniker "Lampukas." This phase marked a deliberate shift while maintaining the brand's commitment to quality and design innovation. Into Lintero, the driving force behind Valinte Oy, left an indelible mark on the industry upon his passing in 1996. However, the legacy persisted through the capable hands of his grandson, Teuvo Salmivalli, who continued the artistry in lamp manufacturing until 2000 in Saarijärvi. Valinte Oy's journey, spanning from its foundational years to the turn of the millennium, stands as a testament to the brand's dedication to excellence, creativity, and the transformative power of light.
