Biography
Michel Ducaroy, an acclaimed designer born in 1925 decided to study at the National School of Fine Arts in Lyon, and from an early age he was influenced by his family's background, a family of industrialists and contemporary furniture designers who owned a renowned interior design business.

In 1954, Ducaroy began his collaboration with the company Ligne Roset, whose relationship made him one of the most well-known and prominent designers thanks to the iconic Togo sofa, designed in 1973, which is still recognised today as one of the biggest best-sellers due to its timeless design. At Ligne Roset, Ducaroy had access to insightful marketing and a highly capable technical team, as he was responsible for the company's research, development and design.
